Hi, I am Dr Shiri Elran and I am a paediatrician but I am also a mum of 3 and married to Oren.
Back in December 2015, our Family decided to take a break from the hectic western life in Israel and embarked on a trip to the Far East with our children, who were then 8, 5 and 2 years old.
Since then we have travelled in India all the way from the North to the South, visited Sri Lanka, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos.
We live in South Goa during the dry season, and we travel when it gets hot and rainy, our children have grown throughout our travels and we have all gained lots of experience with travelling and living away from the western world.
Being a Doctor, I have learnt a lot about “Travellers Health” both from my family’s experience, and from advising many other travellers who consulted with me on the go.
I learned that when travelling far from home, and more so when travelling in underdeveloped countries, any medical problem becomes much more difficult and can be stressful.
I get lots of questions from travellers who don’t know how and who to approach, they get frustrated by the encounter with the local doctors and do not know who to listen to and what to do next.
There is a gap in communication when travelling from the west to the east and sometimes situations can be misinterpreted.
And that’s what I’m here for.
If you are travelling around the far east or anywhere else away from home and you have a medical problem or question, you are welcome to contact me.
If you are planning a long trip and would like to prepare before the travel I can advise about vaccines, medications to take before and during the trip and help you plan ahead to feel safe.
So, How Does it Works?
Please enter the link for the contact form, fill in the details, you will then be passed to a secure payment page, and I will get back to you as soon as possible, I guarantee I will respond within 8 hours.
Wishing you all safe and healthy travels.
